Communiqué on behalf of AEF - Count Etienne Davignon

On behalf of the Africa-Europe Foundation, we express our profound sadness at the passing of Count Etienne Davignon.

A great European, visionary statesman and business strategist, “Stevy” Davignon was the former president of Friends of Europe and co-founder of the Africa-Europe Foundation. His wise leadership and constant commitment helped strengthen dialogue and cooperation for stronger and more united continental integration. His wisdom, conviction, and generosity will continue to inspire us at a time of growing challenges at global level .

We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
